dance+words is an initiative to disseminate ideas and facilitate conversations around dance and movement arts across Canada. We aim to combine old school journalistic values and experience with new technological tools and an inter-generational, inclusive, respectful and curious attitude towards thinking about and engaging with the Canadian dance scene.
We believe that literacy and honest discourse around the discipline of dance is vital to a healthy community and sector. In this spirit, we hope our efforts to illuminate, analyze, review, document, record and share the work of Canadian dance artists in all genres will have a lasting impact for practitioners and publics.
